Background & Training
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher for three years, supporting students through both 504 plans and special education. During graduate school, I worked with children and adolescents ages 7 to 18, and I also have experience working with adults. That background taught me how much patience, clear communication, and meeting people where they are can matter.

I have a special interest in supporting people with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I'm committed to evidence-based care, and I most often work from a cognitive behavioral or acceptance and commitment framework, always keeping you at the center of the therapeutic relationship. You are the expert on your own life.

I am currently receiving training and supervision in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD. ERP helps you gradually face feared thoughts and situations without relying on compulsions or avoidance, so anxiety and obsessions lose their grip over time. Working under experienced supervision means my ERP work is guided by current best practices and closely monitored, so you receive thoughtful, well-supported care at your pace.

My Approach

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and tailor counseling to each person's needs. I believe everyone is the expert on their own life, and I want every client to feel heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and work through challenges at your own pace. Through genuine listening and compassion, I help clients make sense of their experiences and build on the strengths they already have.
